ahhh! Long post......

I feel like making a super long post. Over the past few days, I have been busy and unable to post. Yet, I've have lots of ideas for posts.

First off, I am so filled with joy today. I feel so incredibly blessed right now..... I'm just so content where God has me in life. And that is an amazing feeling. I read this quote today by John Piper that I really liked: "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him". Ah, what a great reminder for me. Being satisfied in God alone is SO important if we want God to be glorified.

Second... I really want to know this.
-What was the most life changing thing/event that ever happened to you/that you ever expierenced?
-Tell me about who challanges you the most in your life. Also, I want to know what is it about this person that challenges you?
-Who in your life do you look up to the most and want to be the most like?
-Do you have a verse in the Bible that you consider your 'life verse'?

I had more, but I forgot them....

Thirdly, I have really been pondering how I want to grow this year. I am a good multi-tasker in someways, but a terrible one in others. Spiritually, I don't grow very much if I split too many ways, with too many 'focuses'.....because then, I loose a main focus. haha, that might not make sense....but anyways.... I have had these lyrics stuck in my head:

"Love, love at the core
So much more than what we're living for
We want love, we want love, love at the core
So much more of this life that we're reaching for
We want love..."

I want love and purity to be at the core of my life. I can't have this 'life I'm reaching for'(growing to be more like Christ) if I am not striving for purity in everything and love in everything. If my love for God defines everything in my life, then won't God be honored there? If totally pure love was at the core of every Christian, think what an impact that would make!

Fourthly(hehe). I have come to realize that one way I am most challenged spiritually is when someone claims I challenge them spiritually. It's confusing, but true.....

Fifth. Yes, this is going to sound shallow after all of my other ramblings above. But I REALLY want a facebook. I'm not obsessing over the idea.... I just want one. =P

6th! I am so happy it is now August, because that means that caregroup is tomorrow. =D [wow, how can it be August already?]

Seventh. I am almost done =P ;)

8th.....Please be praying for me next week...if you think about it. I am getting my wisdom teeth out this Tuesday(4th). I'm not exactly looking forward to it. =/

Ok, I'm done. If you read this whole post, then maybe I will bake you something with lots of sugar in it. =D Would that make you happy? =P haha...

Good night y'all. haha =P

The life-changing question is hard for me because God has done so much for me that I now see was really beneficial and awesome, but if you really want answers from a random stranger, I'd have to say 2 years ago at CFO...the last night of camp, when God's joy really consumed me for the first time...a joy beyond joy and so powerful that I could feel God in everything...it was like magic, and it has started my journey of utter abandon. That was the first night I began "singing from my heart" to God in the night and he gave me a vision that was the start of his real day-to-day guidance in my life.

The person who challenges me most in life--besides Jesus--is probably the apostle Paul, I really relate to him and his passion to never let a day go to waste. If you want a living person who I know, then probably my pastor...I love him a lot. The thing I admire most about him is his love of people and willingness to let God guide his interactions with them...it's the best way we can ever hope to be a blessing anyway.

I aspire to be like Eric Liddel...Missionary Olympian...and also like the apostle Paul.

as for a Bible verse, there are a lot of encouraging ones, but my "life verse" is probably: "He said to them, 'Go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly posion, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people and they will get well..." ~Zondervan TNIV

the reason for this one is that God spoke to me in my vision...and told me something similar to the beginning of this verse. I thought when I heard it that it was a Bible verse but I have never found it. But, because of that experience, this verse means something special to me.

ahem...that said you're "long post" was quite fun to read...however, if you bake me something with lots of sugar in it expect that interesting things might happen because I'm very sensitive to sugar...you will make me way, way too hyper if you give me too much. ;)

I don't know that I've had a supremely life-changing event.
The person who challenges me most spiritually is probably either my mom or Mrs. Warren, who I know through dance. Both of them have such a love for God and such a neat expression of it. They make me want to know Him more.
I think my answer would be the same for the "look up to" question, with the possible addition of the 19th century missionary Mary Slessor.
For AWANA, I had to choose a life verse. I chose Acts 1:5, 7-8, 11. However, I think God has chosen a new verse for me (slightly more succinct, which is ironic) - "This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Ps. 118:23-24)
