Oh how I love it......

I just love my guitar. I can easily spend 2+ hours playing it each day. Yeah, even though I know like 8 or so notes and only about 6 songs so far, I can't get enough of it. Actually music in general.

I always wished that I was better at everything the music world(singing, piano, guitar....). I would like, not hardly practice just because I 'wasn't good' and I guess a little discouraged. I but then, one day recently, something occurred to me......you must practice to get 'really good', like I want to be.

So, yeah, even though I'm playing just my little, simple songs right now, I'm not gonna stop because one day, I'll be good enough to play publicly, lol! A picture of my lovely guitar:

Keep at it... you'll be better than me in no time since I hardly ever practice. I think it was a good idea, what you suggested yesterday. Practice stuff that Noah didn't ask you to practice, and you'll advance faster.

That looks like an Ibanez Talman... is it?

Thanks :D yeah, I have improved a lot faster when I've been working on his stuff plus working on other random stuff I found to do. Don't get me wrong, Noah is awesome, but when I only have lessons 1-2 times a month, things can move rather slowly =P

yep, that's what it is! it's a pretty good little guitar for it's price :)

yeah, practice makes perfect!

sorry to be negative, but, although your guitar looks nice and is great for starters, i don't really like the sound. maybe it's just the electric strings you've got on there, but it doesn't sound as full as it should. anyway, it's still a good guitar, that's just my opinion, haha. keep up the good work!

The Talman guitars are made to be easy to play... the reason why it doesn't have a "full sound" is because the body is shallower than most guitars. I've never heard one, but one could assume that that would be a set-back of a shallow-body guitar.

Anywho, now I've monologued on a guitar I've only seen once for like five seconds... lol.

yeah, i know. that's the problem with them. they're aimed at people who are used to electric. i've played two of these and i have to say, i'm going to stick with dreadnought.

yeah, I was thinking about changing to normal strings now. Noah wanted me to change to eletric because they aren't as hard on my fingers, lol! But, I don't know half as much about guitars as either one of you, so i guess idk what is normal. I can tell that this one sounds a whole bunch better than the extremely cheap one I was borrowing before I got my own. That said, I find it interesting you say that, as although it would make sense, all of the hundreds of reviews on it rave on how it does not sound like a shallow bodied guitar and is more 'full', I guessed you'd say.

However, I'm planning on getting an amp soon, so maybe that'll help.

Noah wanted me to get a guitar like this because it was smaller and easier to play and I wanted it because I liked how it looked, rofl!
